Pediatric Advanced Life Support

American Heart Association

The PALS Provider Course aims to improve outcomes for pediatric patients by preparing healthcare providers to effectively recognize and intervene in patients with respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest by using high‐performance team dynamics and high‐quality individual skills. The course includes a series of case scenario practices with simulations that reinforce important concepts. Upon successful completion of all the patient cases, students must pass the multiple-choice exam with a minimum score of 84%. Learn more

Heartsaver CPR/AED

American Heart Association

This course is for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. Upon successful course completion, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years.

Optional modules include First Aid and Pediatric CPR/AED.

Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens

American Heart Association

The Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens course teaches students how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials. This course is designed to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction. 

Stop The Bleed

American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma

Stop the Bleed is a national campaign that aims to train the public to help in bleeding emergencies before professional help arrives. The campaign's goals are to educate the public on basic trauma care and increase access to bleeding control kits. The Stop the Bleed program is led by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Committee on Trauma (ACS COT). The program's course teaches participants how to: Recognize life-threatening bleeding, Intervene effectively, and Gain hands-on skills. Students will participate in an interactive lecture before practing their hands on skills during skill stations. Learn More

Civilian Response to an Active Shooter Events

Law enforcement officers and agencies are frequently requested by schools, businesses, and community members for direction and presentations on what they should do if confronted with an active shooter event. The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) course, designed and built on the Avoid, Deny Defend (ADD) strategy developed by ALERRT in 2004, provides strategies, guidance and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event. Topics include the history and prevalence of active shooter events, civilian response options, medical issues, and considerations for conducting drills. Learn More
